I got these cloaks to try out on making some converted Tanith 1st and only models for a few reasons. The first is I thought the camo design being sunken into the cloaks would make it easier to keep a constant look to the models. The main reason though is mainly down to my failing eyesight. In the last 10 months I’ve lost all sight in right eye and only have peripheral vision in my left eye so painting is now extremely difficult and I’m now relying on the slapchop painting style as I can no longer do fine detail work and the capes with the recesses really suits this style of painting giving me satisfactoryresult’s easily. Even for painters who struggle with freehand or getting a camo style to look ok these capes let you pick whatever colours you wish to use and have ready placed recesses to get colours down easily and for the better painters they can enhance upon the simple scheme to whatever level they wish.
They all printed fine and required minimal clean up. Total godsend for myself as I have never been the greatest at painting but these have really helped me with my limited vision to make something that’s decent looking and been easy to achieve
